On February 12, 2026, through the ANSWER Project at INES Ruhengeri, the Student Support Center organized an awareness session for new students under the theme “INES Students Support Centre and Disability Awareness.”

Approximately 410 students participated in the session, which aimed to raise awareness about disability and inclusion within the campus community. The students were introduced to the importance of creating an inclusive learning environment and understanding that disability is not inability.

The initiative, launched by INES management in partnership with the ANSWER Project and other stakeholders, seeks to promote social inclusion and equal opportunities for all students. During the session, participants were introduced to the Students Support Centre, which advocates for students with disabilities and provides access to assistive technologies and other relevant support services. Technical staff from the Centre demonstrated how students can access these services to enhance both learning and teaching experiences, ensuring that everyone feels supported and fully included at INES Ruhengeri.
